Hi. Yesterday I was watching tv, and found out that if you live in Canada and have purchased the Velform Sauna belt, you are ENTITLED TO A REFUND!!!
Canadian Govt has found that the advertising was false and misleading. Therefore, anyone who bought the product is to get their money back.
I contacted Northern Response, the company who sold the product for the makers of Velform. They are indeed refunding. I gave them my name, they found out within a minute how much I had paid.
PLEASE, find Northern Response online, and call them.
The only downfall is that they are not refunding the original shipping and handling, nor are they reimbursing the return shipping and handling.

Charles,
Your a good one to call people idiots. I diet and exercise. I also like to wear the belts while doing, because I can tell a difference. Now this belt that has to be plugged into a wall no it won't work, because your stuck in one place. Go to [] This is a news report. You are the lazy one instead of sitten at a computer going to web sights to harass people you should be out exercising. Want to call someone an idiot go look in the mirror, and the figure you see is an idiot

I find the people who purchase this product to be very lazy. The logistics of this product surround a natural ability the human body does, except it speeds the process by nearly 20x the normal rate.
Our bodies are composed of around 75-80& water, heat evaporates water? Our bodies expel water with a high sodium concentration to cool the skin; essentially, this product acts to cause your abdominal area to sweat until the water weight is reduced - drastically.
I have to ask the populous who purchased this product what their intentions were? As i previously stated, your all lazy.
Sitting on a couch, watching T.V. and stuffing your face will NOT lose your weight. The American population is obese for a reason, your all idiots. You don't lose weight this way. Losing weight is hard work - in the early stages until you adapt to the routine.
Dieting + EXERCISE is the only way to lose weight. ...you can't buy it off... lol.

While we did not have physical injuries, our son(age 3) found one of ours and plugged it in, covering it with his coat, to hide it I am sure. We found it when the smoke alarm went off, after it had melted the coat, itself and burned a hole in the carpet and subfloor. Attempts to contact the company have led us nowhere. I am very concerned that this could have led to a fire. It bothers me that the company is not accessable to resolve any issues. I feel like an idiot for having brought something like that into my home.

I bought one and all it did was make my back and stomach red with welts. I never sweat from using the product nor did I lose inches off my stomach. They never sent me the measuring tape which was supposed to accompany the product, and when the product fell apart after a few uses they neither sent me a new one nor refunded my money.

I ordered this belt last year and I never used it. I pulled it out this year and I was telling a friend about it, well my freind had one she used once it made her sick and dizzy and she took it off and trased it. I still haven't used it and after reading the complaints on this website I'm going home to throw it in the trash. I have been going to the gym for 2 weeks and I already see results, I feel so much better about myself and it gives me more energy. I am trying to find contact information for velform!! I found their website, and not so surprisingly their contact info says "coming soon". Well heres another thing they have coming soon, lawsuit. I bought this product from a canadian site (no surprise the us isn't allowing the sales), for $80.00, and I actually didn't use it right away, I bought it, it got put in the closet and i forgot about it, I tried it last week, and now I have digital pictures of the burn marks, and blisters this caused, I could not believe that I have a cluster of fluid filled blisters, similar to what you get from a sunburn. it was gross, and became infected, forcing me to go to the dr to have it looked at. This company should not be allowed to sell something that can obviously hurt people. Not only do I want my money back, which I probably will not get, but I want to make sure EVERYONE knows not to buy this horrible thing. Does anybody have an email address or phone number for this company? if you do please email me at []. Thank you.

Well, my father, brother and I were watching t.v. one day, and came across a commercial for this 'sauna belt'. and i thought holy cow! this has to be right because i've always been told that you 'sweat out the pounds' in a sauna, So my father bought us two belts, one for my brother, and one for me.. we ordered it in about july or august, it is now almost february, and it still has not come! On top of that, it apparantly does not work! and i cannot find the number of a representative of the company that i can contact to get the money back because after the complaints and testimonies i have heard, i don't want to come within ten feet of this 'sauna belt'!

****How often we are fooled**** The sauna belt is NOT worth the $$$$ AT ALL!!! This product did NOTHING for me and I'm doubtful that it will do anything for you!! Well, I can give this product credit for burning the hell out of my skin. I DIDN'T lose or sweat any "pounds" off my tummy, like this product promised. ****Don't waste your time or money****--TRUST ME!!

Hi I got so tempted tp see the commercial of this product that I too bought it. Now I sit here thinking I eas duped. The belt burned me in my belly area , it wrinkled, got ripped because of the heat from the belt, emits stinky burned smell of wire making you sick & dizzy. & upon all these I didn't loose a inch at all. It was sheer waste of my money, I was cheated in name of weight reducing formula. Manufactuer with these kind prducts are also spoiling the honest manufracturer image... Please tell your friend never to buy this product.

This product is dangerous! We payed twice as much as it said on the tv and shipping and handling was more then the product so we didnt get a free second one at all. The first time i tried it,i got exremely dizzy and felt tired i just wanted to take it off and go to sleep. when the 50 minutes were up i was not an inch smaller but and inch bigger because i had gotten so hot that my stomach had expanded. I used the sauna belt many times afterwards and it just burned me. i had it on low heat and on top of my shirt! the burns lasted for a few days and made me so itchy, my skin actually peeled off of my stomach! and the tiny hairs i have on my stomach were all burned and stank really bad, i was in so much pain it is ridiculous!!!!! no one should buy this product ever!!!!! diet and excercise baby thats the way to go! dont be fooled by all these fast results the infomercials promise you it doesnt work like that!!! if you see something you really want to try wait for it to get patented and buy it at your local walmart and pay almost nothing and if it works u saved urself time money and ur safety because the excercise informercials are all scams!!!!

After having my baby, and then a major stomach surgery not even a year in beetween, i was so excited to try this miracle worker. we all know that diet and excersise is very important too, but just thought this would help speed things along. boy was i wrong, all i got was burns and one red stomach that lsted for hours. tried it again and again thinking i was doing something wrong, and still, nothing but burns and blisters no matter the heat. very big scam!!
